Droid Engineer Archive

This idea was mentioned by a friend of mine (good thinking Laeren!) and I'm wondering what you guys think about it. The idea is basically to have a slicing module in droids. Now, this wouldn't be used for slicing weapons or armor, leave that to the smugglers. What it should be used for is slicing magseal containers in dungeons. I personally find it really annoying to clear a dungeon and not be able to check the locked containers (granted, they most likely will have garbage loot).

I was thinking the droid could work like the stimpack dispensors. Load it up with a smuggler's slicing laser thing and the droid will then be able to unlock the containers. It might also be fun if this droid could open up looted locked containers, but that might hurt novice smugglers, so that might not be a good idea. What do you guys think?

it might be a good idead, but being a smuggler, id have to say that this would never fly( even if the locked magseal containers werent bugged) it might work if you had to have at least novice smuggler to use them, like the stimpack droids or survey, harvesting or the like, but without being a smuggler id have to say that you couldnt use our skill, no matter how limited it is. sorry, i now it makes sense, being that droids can slice into terminals in the movies, youre still getting something for nothing.
