So you can send a droid into space and it will check for resources for you, cool...

but wouldn't it be cooler if you had to worry about someone taking it out, capping it or what if smugglers could make restraing bolts, and people could steal droids.

Turnover
Make Droids attackable by everything or at least other players, either they should die or get incapped, but have to phisicly store, can't do from data pad if off planet. Bounty hunter droids should be attackable by all, or at least the people that have the ones that blow up comming after them.

I can think of nothing more Starwarsy then worring about Jawas or other people stealing your stinking droids.

Stealing Droids
You have to buy a restraining bolt from a smuggler (or could drop from Jawas, etc.) and then you have to blast the droid with a Jawa Ion, or some other stun damadge type weapon. Then attach the bolt from the radial, and YOU HAVE A NEW DROID!

Catch 22: You can either higher a bounty hunter to get it back or make the player attackable by the original owner or both.

When Droids are Stolen, you retain the data pad control device, and the theif gets a generic device that doesn't give full control. Full control can only be acheived by taking the droid to a Staic NCP to have it's memory wiped. (maybe in say Anchorhead?) have only one NCP per Planet to give the owner a chance to find them, since they know where they have to go... Droid should not be storable until this is done.

I am a MCH/BE 4-2-4-4 and in constant need of resources, but I think it should be a little risky to have the droid do it.

I would love to see droids all over doing different tasks. And I can't wait to kill a stinking Jawa for trying to steal my droid. (I so love killing Jawas, I don't really need a reason I guess, but it would be fun to have one sometimes.)

Nothing... I didn't even get a flame on this one, I thought it would have been fun, oh well.

I may regret this, but since I have gotten no feed back, I am using this post to do my Post Grinding, sorry for any inconvenience this may casue.

I like the idea of hiring a bounty hunter to track your droid down for you. Now if only they would implement player bounties....
