Thread: Factory Help! wamba?
Factories are really useful if you are planning on selling a lot of droids. You could get away with not using them most of the time if you are just going to craft droids based on custom orders instead of trying to keep droids stocked in a vendor. However, there are a handful of components/droids that require factory components (components that are identical):
- Advanced Droid Brain: requires 4 identical GP modules and 4 identical Memory modules
- R3 and Advanced R3 chassis: requires 2 identical advanced droid brains
- Binary Load Lifter and Advanced Binary Load Lifter Chassis: requires 2 identical Manipulator Arms and 6 identical Advanced Droid Motive Systems
I personally rely heavily onfactories. Theymake all of my Master Artisan components (e.g. GP modules, control units, memory modules), all of my base droid components (e.g. food crafting module, motive system), and items where experimentation matters (e.g. droid batteries, droid customization kits). I usually do the final assembly of a droid by hand, with the exception of Arakyds and Seekers.

Some more DE factory information...
- Equipment Factories are used for the majority of our subcomponents. If you have the skills to make Composite Armor Segments (used in higher levels of Droid Armor)and/or Power Core Units (used in Power Droids), these would useWearables and/or Structure factories respectively.
- The Dual Wave Synthesizers, that are made by Musicians, can be mass-produced in an Equipment Factory if you have a schematic
- Factories can store 100 items in their input bins, and 100 items in the output bins. You can freely exchange items to/from the input bin. But once you take an item out of the output bin it must be used or stored elsewhere as you can't manually put items in the output bin.
