Thread: *publish day* findings so far...the good bad & ugly! (for those at work)

-Combat droids appear to be CL18 with approx 3500ish ham. Unfortunately my droid deeds on vendor are still 1400 ham, so not retroactive. Odd that the oldone in my datapad claims to now be CL18 but his ham is unchanged, damn.


-Merchant Barker module seems to work at first, then you find that it only announces your slogan *once* then stops. if you turn it off then back on it will say it *once* again. I waited 10 minutes and it never repeated it!!!!!


-Auto repair module seems to work. When it's turned on your droid will show the "falling medical icon" for lack of a better word over its head every minute or so. Unlike the barker module this one continues to stay on until turned off.


-Battery meter is there but unfort you have to examine droid to see it.


-Droid "deed" now shows the droidunit correctly instead of the paper.


-Still can't call more than 1 droid and/or pet out ata time (not that i expected this to be in but should have been in months ago)


working on the rest.....get those barker modules fixed soe

barker notes: it *does* repeat but takes approx 12 MINUTES. also the droid will only "say" the line, not shout it....so limited use there.


i made sure i was /shout ing when i di dthe recording hoping that would do it but the droid still "said" it

I have made a few of the survey droids, here are my findings.


You can experiment Count and Quality, Count is number of uses per droid. They are not one time use. Quality is the amount of time it takes for them to send you an email. As of this post I am still waiting on an Email. At 71 Quality it takes 28 minutes, I'll try to find better resources to get faster turn around times.


I'll update on the final look of the email and the info therin

I just received my first email. It says it's from Interplanetary Survey Droid.



It basically gives you a list of names of resources that you would get from a survey tool if you were on the planet.


No resources, no wps to high concentrations, just the name of the resource.


Appears nothign has change since it was tested in the test center.

Does this mean a non CH cannot use the new combat droids with 3500 ham? Is the armor fixed on them or is it just an increase in ham? How about damage output?

Someone will have to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that anyone can call ONE droid at a time regardless of CL level.

that should be correct, anyone should be able to call droid regarldess of its stated CL


also, barker module seems totally random at this point, can't get a read on it. sometimes 2 mins sometimes 12

Does it return the type of resource or just resource names? This would be useless to me unless I knew what type of resource has spawned on a particular planet. Also, can you send out more than one survey droid at a time?

The Test Center patch notes the other day mentioned that the functionality of the barker module was changed so that it wouldn't bark until someone got near to it, with a minimum delay of one minute, I believe. I'll try to find the patch notes and paste a copy here. My bet is that if you walk away from it and come back it will bark again.


I for one am glad it's not /shouting everything, then it would be just as annoying as the PC barkers outside starports. The way these are currently working should be much more reasonable.


EDIT: Here it is, from the April 23 patch notes:


- Droid: Merchant Barker Module: Changed the functionality of the barker module to only say the message if a player passes close by, with a minimum delay of one minute.

Yes, anyine can use the CL18 droids and only 1 can be called at a time.


My protocol with barker mod works fine. It barks when ever anyone walks past, as it is supposed to do.

Anything on how to craft the Dual Wave Synth's for the music playback module??? Clueless on how to do this.

Yes, it returns EVERYTHING that you see on a survey tool's listing, including names.



And yes you can have more than one out at a time, I used 2 at a time and got the emails at different times (they were experiemented differently)



However you need a survey tool for each one, and it *will* use one from a factory crate. The survey tool and droid are BOTH one time use.
