MEGACORP Council has decided to opena new position in the guild...
1. Master Droid Engineer - Our current DE has unlocked his FS slot and is off enjoying Jedi-dom...
Persons not yet Master will be considered, based on personality and time availability. If the right person comes along, we'll be willing to wait a bit and/or help you to finish DE quickly. Personality is just as important as proficiency
If you're *really* dedicated and have the time to pull off both jobs, so be it. Selection criteria/guidelines are:
1. Regular player - this position will require frequent interaction/work. Player should be active no less than 1-2 times per week. Many of our crafters are online every other day or more.
2. Sociability - Too often, crafters turn into anti-social hermits
MEGACORP is about positive, supportive members.
Don't worry about resources or factory space. MEGACORP is a very cooperative guild, where many of our members harvest and turn in the best resources as they shift, giving us a broad, powerful base of excellent-quality material for our crafters to work with. In turn, crafters give free or strongly discounted items back to the community as well as sell them to the public in our grand MegaMall on Talus. Our city is a Research Center, giving crafters the desired bonus, and we are conveniently located right outside Dearic Starport on Talus.
MEGACORP has one of the larger number of jedi members in Eclipse, now well into double-digits, and many of our players, including our crafters, run more than one account, allowing them to also pursue the jedi path at the same time we craft. Our membership is close to 50/50 crafters/combatants, and again, some of our crafters also run second (or even third) accounts so they aren't limited to sitting in town crafting. We also maintain a very active forum website, so community interaction is great, with both helpful historical/guideinfo for our junior players and quick-response discussions on current topics for all.
Interested? Contact either our guild leader (Inanna) or myself (Krix / Donaldd / Jaydyn) via email or stop by MEGACORP city sometime.

Hmm maybe you should have worded that a little differently and not lied about your "very active" forum website with 4 posts.
So your "Hiring" a DE to make your guild free or greatly reduced priced droids on demand... sounds tempting... *cough*

Hmm maybe you should have worded that a little differnetly. You dont need to protray that "corporate, were too good for you" image... and lie about your "very active forum website" with 4 posts.
So basically your looking for a DE to make you free or greatly reduced price droids on demand...,

Nothing I said was incorrect. Our MC forum is quite active, perhaps you have the wrong address? Also, bear in mind that most items are not viewable by the public, only registered members...

All we are offering is an opening in the guild to a DE that meets the entry criteria. I'm even suprised that I'm dignifying such a negative and baselessrant with a reply, but instead I hope that you were simply mistaken in your presumptions.
That being dealth with...
I appreciate the applications I've received already. We will gladly continue receiving applicants and review them at next council. Thanks.

It was more your attitude and the way you said it... "Accepting 1 Droid engineer" like we should be humbled and grateful, that our previouslyunworthy selves would be accepeted into your glorious and god-like MEGA CORPORATION!
How about "Requesting the services of a droid engineer"?

Personally if I was on this server I would jump at the chance. To be able to just sit and craft droids with out worrying about resources or structure support? Yea baby count me in. To have a dedicated audience for my droids that understand the issues? count me in again. I just love the crafting and seeing people use what I make.

My guild is a lot like this, we help each other out a lot. Most of us are crafters so typically we do our own thing trading resources/components, but when a really great resource comes in we all pool together and jump on it. Recently on our server we got a 1000 OQ Class 4 Liquid petro. You should have seen the Chemical Harvester Farm we had going

I'm with Isquan on this one. The "ad" was worded as if we should all feel privileged to be allowed into it. Are we remembering here that this is a game? No real place for snobbery then is there? I expect this type of thing in a real life job advertisement from a first-class company, not some dopey little "guild" in a computer game. The members of this particular guild (if this ad is to be taken at face value) seem to take themselves a little too seriously, methinks. The nose-in-the-air reply to Isquan was similarly nauseating. And the guy just signed up for these forums in February.
Also, the circumstances surrounding this guild are exactly why I have no interest in joining any guild at all. I love crafting droids, I enjoy interacting with and educating people who are next to clueless about droids, I enjoy making them happy by providing them with something that helps them enjoy the game. But I also enjoy being paid for my time and hard work, and being able to do with the money whatever I want (i.e., "advancement"), whenever I want, and doing things on my own schedule. You'll never see me spending long hours crafting droids for free with no benefit to myself, like some slave who is simply happy to be the slave of MEGACORP or whatever the name was. Simply standing there pressing the mouse button isn't the game for me. I did that when I was grinding. I want the whole package: the fun (and frustration) of crafting, the satisfaction of giving people stuff they enjoy, the pride in being considered an excellent DE by lots of people, the challenge of making lots of money (even if its just cyber-money). All of that is what the game is about, not just sitting there in a house crafting R3s over and over for nothing.
