Had a special order from(Omitted - Not hisfault)for a 2-1B Surgical unit with food crafting station, lvl 6 med module, and lvl 6 item storage module.
Build the unit, sold it through my vendor to(Omitted) and received a message from him asking how to operate the item storage, I explained to him and he said the option wasn't there.
I had him bring me the droid and transfer it to me... I verified that there was no storage on the droid, apologized for my blunder and replaced the unit, taking great care to insure I'd installed the item storage module.
Examined the deed... The storage module rating of 11 was there in addition to the med module and crafting station module.
Handed the deed over, he readied the unit... the the storage function was no longer there!
I refunded the credits for the storage module to (Omitted). So now I'm out 29895cr in sales due to the fact I've had to build a bugged droid twice... And I can't sell the data or redeed the unit (obviously).
Anyone else have this problem?

yep. that is one of the bugs that has been there for ever: item storage modules don't work in surgical droids. they work in every other kind of droid though.

A well knownand VERY longstanding bug I'm afraid. Don't know why this should still be an issue after all this time, but there you go

Actually you can't get 3 modules into a surgical droid anyway, can you? Am I missing something?

You can as long as its an ADV Surgical droid. And yeah, this needs to be fixed. Its a joke that the problem is still around. I believe its a top 5 issue along with LE droids and their inability to take repair modules (not auto-repair).

Okay... got this in response to the ticket I submitted on the 2-1B/storage thing... (Before I posted on the forums and was informed about the bug).
Is this accurate? Anyone know? I know it isn't correct for most droid models... 'cause I'm making item storage modules that work fine...
I'll let you read it and tell me what you think...

Greetings, Cynabar,
This is CSR (Omitted). It seems that the Data Storage and the Item Storage modules have been mixed up. Meaning, in order to get a droid to have item storage, you will need to use the data storage module and to get a droid to have data storage, you will need to use an item storage module. This is a known issue that we have been looking into for a while and we have no ETA on when this will be addressed. I do apologize for the inconvenience. Good luck and take care!

He's probably refering to a older bug where the level2 item storage modules came out as level 2 data storage modules ....which was fixed with publish 7. Other than that, I have no idea what he's talking about.
