Its annoying as it is to have a blanket limit of 1 droid out regardless of its function, but i'd like to atleast have my droid able to repair my speeder.

Will astro-mechs be benefical in ships and will they be able to repair ships while docked?

I'd even except the idea of requiring the droid to have repair resources on hand to fix damage. More damage requiring more material.

Oh yeah, how about a stand alone charging station. I hate needing to use a battery when my droid is out and about in my home.

Tell us about it . We have recently been told that DE's may have multiple droids looked at as a profession perk, but I wouldn't expect it for non-DE's and then only for utility and not combat droids (until theyshoe-horn Droid Handler into the game).

This is a function many of us would also like. The issue here is of the garage money sink - if droids did it it wouldn't "cost" anything to keep up, just the initial purchase of the droid (which puts money into another players pocket and not out of the system.)

My personal suggestion with this is to have a "vehicle repair module" that requires "filling/charging" at a garage. When you pay to fill up your droid with repair power, it is able to repair on the road.

This is all just wishlist, though - they have never given indication that they are responsive to this idea.

According to the interviews from E3, yes they will be very beneficial in ships. However, there is no docking in JTL, at least at release. Check the JTL forum and read the two articles stickied at the top of the page as well as Shug's Q&A and you will know as much about JTL as anyone who doesn't work for SOE.

I think you are talking about Space here and not vehicles - and as far as we know (as you will see by reading those stickies on the JTL forum) droids are there to enhance abilities of ships via datadiscs but since we don't know how the JTL power/repair systems work we can't be certain.

Highly doubtful just because of it's limited use - it's a nice idea though.

Hope this helps,
