Ok, i'm a 3/2/2/3 DE working my way to Master. Now, since I can make the general & combat modules I am trying to make me a droid with them, but the only modules I can use are combat ones in a probe droid. Can any of you DE guru's tell me what I am doing wrong here, as I can't even place a combat or a general module in a R2 droid. Are the ONLY advanced enough droids to take combat & general modules R3's & Probots?
Any help/advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

I might be wrong here, just thinking off the top of my head...
General modules should fit well in the some of the Humanoid/noncombatants (Protocol,Surgical, MSE)
Combat should fit in the Probot, DZ70, Rx chasses and LE Repair.
Look at your schematics for the different frames, and it should tell you, whether it will take combat clusters or general cluster or modules.

The only 2 droids I can think of that actually take a General Socket Cluster anymore are the Surgical and the Advanced BLL. Everything else either uses the Combat Clusters or single modules fit into single module slots. Why thy don't just take the General socket clusters out and make everything a combat cluster is beyond me. I don't bother making Surgical droids anymore becuase of this.

schematics all say they can take the modules, but when I go to build the droids no modules show up in my inventory, & when I unfilter my inventory they will not fit in the sockets.
it's friggin weird.

All right get your pencils and take notes. I am a Master DE and i've done my homework pretty well. This should clear up the confusion.
If you check your crafting tool you'll notice where th modules are placed in a droid require either these things:
Combat Capable Service Module: this can use ANY module that gives a droid an ability (passive or active) this includes Combat Modules.
Combat Capable Socket Clusters: These are components that can have up to THREE Combat Capable Service Modules (Optional) these mods are red when installed in droids like the advanced R3 unit. Like above the more moduls you have of a certain kind (harvester, Medical, combat ect) the better chances of getting a higher rating or experimentation.
Droid Defense Moduels: These use the the Droid ArmorModules (1-6) The last 2 (5-6) need Composite Armor Segments which are made by Armorsmiths. These things can be fitted with Armor Layers that use special protection like Kinetic, Heat, ect. You need to cooperate with an Armorsmith to help you craft them.
These are the primary modules that require major experimentation and to make a custome droid for customers. As for you answer to your question. You need to make the right module for the right droid. read what the slot requires and follow the table I wrote above to help you. Perhaps your not seeing the module because either you made the wrong module or you made a module but the droid requires only Combat Capable Socket Clusters.

Well, unless they changed things lately I sure haven't heard about this and it was never posted into any patch note andyou are the first one I have seen stating this. Your saying a layered segment will give something higher than a 20% resist when installed in the droid ? LVL 6 armor is 20% resists across the board whether you use the crappiest armor segment or the very best (says 40, but it really is 20. Display bug).
