Thread: Anyone else see the nerf bat?
With everyone yelling and screaming for "New/Better Combat Droids." I see it coming. It looks like Barry Bonds swinging it. What makes everyone think they would nerf the NonCH to CL10, and then give us a new schematic for a better than Probot, combat droid? Isn't the probot at CL12 now?
Or wait lets change the system. Now thats a good idea. The Devshave not gotten most of the professionsworking in the game. What makes you think they would destroy the system that does for the most part work. And then restrucure it?
Don't get me wrong, there are some changes that need to be made to droids. But adding a new combat droid does not solve a single thing. Unless you are lonely and want to see the nerf bat again, if thats the case I will bring my Funoodle over to your house, because I do not remeber a Nerf Bat persay, and I figure the funoodle would be the closest thing to what it would look (or feel like).

The sky is not falling. In fact, the sun is shining on our profession. Not quite sure what the purpose of this post. Speculation that droids that we haven't been promised are going to be nerfed? The DEVS are the ones asking for feedback on what we want.
At this point with the on-coming one-pet limit, we could hardly be more nerfed with 810 HAM probots. Even the lvl 10 CH pets have 1100 HAM. We're already nerfed, man. The bat has swung.
Does no one understand what Medium Armor and 40% means?

I do, Isaac. And I put it in the description of every single Probot-ADV that I sell on my vendor. 820 HAM with medium armor and 40% resists is the equivalent of nearly 5500 HAM on an unarmored pet.
Last night I went Holocron hunting with a friend who has a level 24 Torton as a pet. His Torton has something like 6300 HAM but it is unarmored. Not too surprisingly, at least not to me, my Probots were actually better tanks than the Torton. Why? Because their 5500 effective HAM lasted almost as long as the Torton's 6300, but the Probots healed6.5 times faster because they only have 820 actual HAM. You know how long it takes a pet to heal 5000 HAM of damage? ALL FREAKIN' NIGHT. My Probots could be swapped in and out every other mission because they were completely healed in that amount of time.
No, a Probot isn't going to kill anything. That's the player's job. The Probot is just there to serve as a shield while the player does the killing.

For the probot, it means 4-5 shots to kill a kreetle, and it still takes some hits.

Which has nothing to do with HAM.
Yes, the Probot's damage sucks. But that's a totally different thing than comparing the Probot's 820 HAM with medium armor and 40% resists to a CL 10 pet's 1100 HAM with no armor and pathetic (if any) resists. The Probot's HAM far outclasses any CL 15 pet, let alone a CL 10 pet.
