I wanted to know if anyone though of having DE's make droids that could servey and make waypoints for the resoures you need. I think this would be a sweet product. make them work like BH droides where u specifie a resoure you need, and release it out into the wild like BH's do for marks, and then the droid find a concentration (maybe to your spacifices, like 80% of dolivite iron) and send you a waypoint after a few hours, or mins. This reduces the leg work for the artisan in finding new deposits.

Becuase they work like BH droids, u would have limited uses for each droid. and only 1 droid can find 1 resoures at a time. this could make a nice selling market for DE's where they would have demands and uses for the prodect inquistion. You could even setup maybe 2 types, 1 for planatary search, where it will seach all planets for the spacifice ore type (dolvitie iron, class 4 petrol fuel) when the droid comes back it would say what planets have the resoures you specified and then u could search with the other droid on the planet for the resoures location in quistion.

what do DE's think of this idea? has it been mentioned before?
