Just getting blueprints II and III over the last 2 days , i've seen my schematics page grow and grow.

Which makes me happy.

Then I Look at the required items , and the experimentation requirements and I'm no longer happy.

I can get resources no problem , but all those different armount of resources in high quality AND quantity? That is going to be a lot harder.

What do we actually need to experiment on that really matters in a droids usefullness? (heh , oxymoron)

Does my -8 quality Maniuplatior arm package really hurt the droid at all?

Will a +15 droid brain be smarter than a droid with a -5 quality one?

I'm probably not even going to make any droids for selling untill i get much higher than I currently am , and I have enough steel and fiberplast to get me there (god i hate adv droid frames now) , But should i be on the lookout for certain resources now , or leave all my harvesters on my steel and fiberplast veins.

on a related question:
Is a probot HAM standard? always going to be the same , or does experimtation help modify that at all? That's the only thing i can see that would make sense in regards to experimintation (and yes , i know i can't spell experimainatation )

Thanks in advance for your answers!!

Honestly, it does not seem to make a lick of difference in the final droid.

OK, OK, with garbage materials, you can make an advanced probot with 819 HAM that will actually be an 810 HAM droid when tamed, and with really good materials, you can make an advanced probot with 825 HAM that will actually be an 820 HAM droid when tamed... And some people think that experimenting on crafting modules is a big help...

But it's minor, and I'm not sure why I waste my time and materials to get better results on most items, except I'm just that way about things.

As far as resources to stockpile if you see them. Duralloy and Ditanium Steel which hasn't spawned in 2 months. Also any type of Dioxis Gas and Lidium Extrusive Ore. Some very rare resources and you need them to make the Level 4 and up armor, Protocol Droids, and Level 6 Item and Data Modules. Hope this helps.

On probots, you can experiment for 4 extra ham. For modules you can experiment a 1 point increse in functionality in many cases. For components, there is a myth that better quality will decrease your chance for critical fail. Experimentation for droid engineer is almost completely worthless, and I wouldn't recommend spending points on it unless you wanted the additional colors whan making ADV frames for decoration. You can be a siccessful droid engineer using the worst quality materials and no experimentation.

Thanks for the replies.

I assumed that was it basically was for DE's at this point , just wanted to double check.
If i run into any top of the line resources , i'll hold on to them for that rainy day when our experimentation will actually be worthwhile. But at the moment i'll be grabbing any grind able resources out there.
