Thread: Your droids customization has completely faded away
I just bought a new R2 droid, it is only 2 days old. I bought it in deed form and dropped it and charged it up.
in my data pad it has no commands and as a master CH I programed it as I would my pets. (Choose the command from the radial menu and "say" the command "store" for eg)
the droid gets a ! above its head, but even after a few tries it does not learn its commands.
Now, every time I pull out my droid it says "your droids customization has completely faded away"
but when I say "store" it stores? it has a medical use of 110 and I love it I can even experiment.
Someone told me not to worry about it since the droid still "works" but I want to make sure I am not going to loose my new friend.
Also, every time I pull it out it changes color, is that a feature?
The color is random because noone at SOE has figured out how to have us select a color at droid creation and have it stick on the droid, so it's random until the droid is 'customized'
In the message, 'customization' means 'paintjob', and it fades after 20 call/store cycles if you have it done. After that, your droid will either be random colors again (if an astromech) or default color (any other droid style) until painted again.
Thank you for helping, so I don't need to worry about the message or the color. (Ilike the veriety)
Now, with the learned commands, the ! meanesthe droidlearned the command but the commands don't show up in my data pad?
Well I'll cross my fingers for you guys. i love droids and I hope they fix this profession.
Good Luck and Thank you
Some customers are complaining saying that their customization has faded away and that it doesn't work anymore, the medical module....I told them to charge it with a battery but they said that doesn't help...
Is this a new form of decay?...

The fading customization is normal and means that the paint job is going away.
Every complaint I've received of medical or crafting modules not working as turned out to bea low-power issue. Recharging with a battery has always solved the problem. Some customers were not aware of batteries or the need for them though.
