In the beginning I balked at this idea, if a DE can make a droid, then we should be able to direct them in combat!

But, seeing how we DEs seem to be divided straight in half about if we want combat only DEs or not, it certainly looks like there are two types of DEs out there, those who craft, and those who want combat. Having both in the same profession hurts at least the crafting crowd, not sure about the combat crowd. So, the idea of separating us in two different professions doesn't sound so bad any moreafter all...

Thing is... if as a DE I make a combat droid I can't use as a DE, I can always take the profession that can use the Combat Droid.

WS can't use the weapons they make, but they can take the combat profession that has the certs. No reason as a DE I can't do the same thing.

exactly, slowly I'm liking the idea of a combat droid profession more and more
