I have an R3 with a medical module installed. Im just curious as to how the med moduleswork exactly.

How does the medical module affect my medical skills? Do any of my medical skills increase when the droid is out, wound treatment/med use/ injury treatment?

I heard that when the droid is out I can heal wounds outside of med centers, is this correct?

How close does the droid have to be for me to benefit? Can the droid be left someplace far away?

Thanks

The module (or droid in this case) will have a Medical Rating. This medical rating is a percentage that is applied to your heals (wound, damage, etc), the rating can be taken as an straight out percentage, so if you have a Medical Rating of 60 on your droid, then your heals will be weaker and only do 60% of the full amount. They do allow you to use your medical skills outside of the med center (which has a medical rating of 100 for comparison). You should always make sure to get a droid with a medical rating of 100 or 110 so that you receive the optimal benefit from the module.

I believe the range is somewhere around the 5-15m range. You have to have it right by you in order for you to receive the medical benefit (or to even use wound packs and such outside of camps and med centers).
