It isn't a bad idea in my book.

I think that publ. 8 will change the look of the complete droids. from being a deed to actually looking like a droid. Not sure if they will use power at that time or they need to be readied first.

But it would be nice to have something in the house that say "A DE lives here" some piece of furniture that have something to do with a DE. A broken droid, a assembly line, or a recharge station

Heh... I have a BLL chassis with four astromech chassis around it that says "A DE lives here."

If they have any doubts they can look in my basement.

Nice. I have droid chassis spread out around my shop.

But still something more 'obvious' Each crafting profession could have a few (2 or 3) different things that show what profession they are. Storage space in houses is a big problem, and even if it is nice to show off your work (DE Chassis) they do take up room. Other options that only uses 1 of the spaces in the house that 'say' the same thing would be a nice addition. Maybe a Painting or two with droids in them.

I would like to see the Oil bath for Droids from EP4, kinda restore my droids vitality with a quick dip.

You know, the ones about the Royal Starship where R2-D2 and the other astromechs were standing?

I think those would make a nice piece of furniture for a DE's house... even better if they actually DID function as recharging stations.

It wouldn't be THAT hard... just have it so that if a recharge station is present, the droid gets a recharge from the recharge station instead of from a battery. Probably less easy would have it so that if a droid is in a structure with one, it doesn't lose battery charge...

I was just thinking about this today while realizing when I'm crafting components, my R3 stays out since he holds all my manufacturing schematics. Be nice to put the power core my house was built with to a bit of use.

Oh well, just a random idea I'd been having and thought I'd share.

Yeah, the idea of truly functional furniture is great! Perhaps you can suggest this in the Architect boards? =)

Especially the oil bath idea . . . man, my R3 needs one BAD, lol
