What's the latest from the Devs on fixing DEs?

I heard a lot about them being the next profession to be repaired after Commandos and BHs, but haven't heard how other than a Dev suggesting a Droid Handler profession?

Has anyone heard anything since then or know what's going to happen to this profession?

Short answer::: silence.... that's all we've heard.

I will wager 100,000cr that we are not the next class to be fixed.

The way to fix droids is to leave everything how it is, and create a Droid Handler class to tame droidekas off of Lok.

I do not believe anyone is looking into our classes issues, except to the extent that our issues overlap specifcally with CH.

I believe they said BE's were getting fixed next.

Basically, the latest they've said about us is that yes, we need help, they want more droids than pets, but are afraid to touch us in fearing that droids will go overboard or something. Hence they want the Droid Handler, a thing I've been against since the thought was posted on the forums. Other than that, I think they said "we are working on the problem."

There hasn't been a dev post in here since July 24th.

Virtanis said it best, silence, absolute silence. In fact its a silence so deafening it boggles the mind. You would think that a Dev would come here just to post "We realize that droid engineers are in need of improvement, but its taking longer than we thought to get droids balanced correctly". But no, instead they choose to just ignore this board

The last bug they acknowledged was:

"droid repair tools don't work"

Their response was:

"We are concerned that there is currently no way to heal the white bar on a droid, we will be creating a tool, called a "droid repair tool" that can be crafted by artisans for this purpose"

After this I lost all hope that they even read our correspondants emails. Lets not forget:

"Bounty hunter *probots* now have 5 charges"

"Droid experimentation is fixed as of the latest patch (smiley)"

"We need more combat droids" "We agree, what kind of droids would you like?"

Cricket?? why would we need droids that play cricket? I mean I know a lot of the actors in Star Wars were British but they never played cricket in the movies.

According to the smuggler correspondant, Green Marine was assigned to fix smuggler, as they are currently most in need of some loving.
