I just got a droid with a food and chem crafting station, and I'd like to know how it compares to Private Crafting Station effectiveness rating.

Let me clarify - I don't mean to make that sound rude. It's just that I haven't met anybody who is not as in the dark about these as I am. They give us no rating for them, soI have assumed that they operate at 0 efficiency - better than a station made by a newb, but worse than a station made by a master. Somewhere in the middle of the line.

Other than that, if you meant if it let's you craft items like a private station, yes it does - anybody who is near it can use it as well.

You can see the module's effectiveness rating before it's assembled into the final droid unit. I don't know that that rating actually caries through and affects the crafting process, but I see no reason to doubt it. The only problem is, you can't see that rating after the droid is completed, so a customer just has to take your word for the rating.

Maybe I am not looking well enough (I'm not on my home computer to test it out now) but the only thing I see normally is 'mechanism quality' - which has nothing to do with the crafting station effectiveness.

That's all that's there Fig... and are you sure that it doesn't affect the crafting station? *scratches head*

Yeah but then the Devs would have to make it so that quality acctualy makes a difference in droids. Becuase currently droid quality don't mean squat.

Well let meexpand the question, does it allow you to craft every complexity of droid part? I noticed that i cant make some droid parts with a droid crafting station in town (i think complexity 35 and over?) with the droid crafting station module does it allow you to craft everything?

Yes, that's what I mean - the station is private so it lets you craft EVERYTHING.

And the mechanism quality is a property of EVERY droid part...not sure what it does, but since it's an attribute of EVERYTHING I think it is pretty safe to say it has nothing to do with crafting station quality at all.

yes, it works as a fully functional 'private' class crafting station, meaning you can make ANY complexity item at it.

as to the effectiveness.....we THINK it *might* be the mechinism quality or whatever, but can't be really sure. I've experimented crafting stations to 84%, and those turn out good, but other than that....no clue.

Well like I said before...even them manipulator arms have mechanism quality. I think it is going to effect the final product SOMEHOW when experimentation actually works - every component might degrade the base droid a bit or something like that.

But since everything has it, I would surmize that it's a basic droid attribute, and not a crafting station attribute.

yes, Fig, was more-or-less agreeing with you. I would like to see a rating same as the achitect models and artisan crafting tools have, would only be fair to the customers to know when a DE is making something with crap quality as opposed to good quality.
