I heard that DEs in the future might be allowed to have more than one droid out at a time. While this is great for them and they deserve it, I want to ask why only DEs? Why can't your everyday average joe be allowed to have his R2 and his C-3PO out at the same time? I understand that they don't want everyone running around with 3 probots out, but why limit the non-combat droids. Why not make it so that people can have one combat pet (of any type) and one non-combat pet. Make it so that non-combat pets don't count to the extra group xp. That way, someone could have out a probot for defense, and also have out his R2 droid for whatever reason he may need.

But droidsare sooooo tied to CH pets that when they change something there it changes for us too. Until they sererate it we will have to live with it. Until the "Plan" actually gets implemented or at least described in some detail it is hard to say what the results will be.

Right now, it's too early to get worked up about it. We really have no idea what their final plan is, or even an intermediary that we can discuss and debate about. Yes there was a hint that DEs will be allowed to call more than one droid at a time, but it never said anything about the other professions. For example, a medic might be able to call a surgical and a mouse droid at the same time, with the surgical being their bonus for their profession. That's as much speculation as anything else, so for now, I wouldn't worry too much about it until we know some more concrete details.

Sadly, I don't expect that this will be resolved to the DE's or the common Joe's satisfaction. I myself favour the one combat, one utility, 2 utility droid multi-droid combos. Or, as a caveat,let DE's make and sell an expensive control panel needed to run mutiple combat droids which would preclude the owner from engaging in combat.

You want 3 regular battle droids in combat...get the control panel. You want 2 super battle droids or 2 droidekas out, get the advanced control panel, or a DE to run them for you. Ideally, these could be vhicle mountable.
