So I log in today and check out the 'pages, lo and behold sony is featuring a comic making complete mockery of the droid engineer profession.

I´ve seen that and I gotta admit that it makes me kind of angry. Nothing against humor and not taking your self seriously but

1) It simply shows the sad truth. There´s now real joke in it

2) I would deem it ok if it would be on a non-official site. Seeing it linked on the official site to me is a slap in the face of the DE community. I can´t even see it as SOE making fun of themselves. Its just nonsensitive. Sometimes I wonder what goes on in some peoples minds.

Personally?

I find it freaking hilarious, while at the same time being a bit poignant, and rather true to my own experiences. The only unrealistic thing I find is that the dreaming DE has shorter hair than me and no moustache!

To be honest, I imagine that they'd only endorse this comic if they've got REAL plans to do something about the situation. In fact, between the fact that they've pointed to a comic with a destroyer droid, and the fact that JustG was talking about seriously high level combat droids... Well, let's just say I've got more hope than I have in some time.

I looked for, and didn't find a way to check out comics that came before.... there doesn't seem to be a way to do it. How did you do it?

I agree with Rho... I got a good chuckle out of it.

Check the one before that, about "jedi grinding"... notice THAT one didn't end up on the official site? heh.
