Thread: Item Decay in Droid Storage
Just today, I was asked an interesting question to which I had no answer to. The question that he asked was if items in droids would decay right along with the items in your inventory. Does anyone have an answer to this?
Did you test this? Or...can you definitively confirm this?
If so, that's a huge selling point to the combat crowd...

I'll second this.
Items stored in Droid Storage do not decay.. repeat do NOT decay.
'till we get nerfed anyway
I tested this one for about 1 hour. I placed 1 clothing item, 1 armor item, and 1 tool into a droid. Here is what I did.....
I started out by getting killed with each of these items in my inventory, without being insured....5% decay
Killed with each of these items in my inventory, with insurance...1% decay
Placed items in a droid and had it incapped 3 times in a row, without insurance.....0% decay

Placed items in a droid and had someone kill me 3 times in a row, while the droid was called, without insurance.....0% decay

I think that was a pretty complete test....
Yea...I think you tested it enough.
Sweet. Too bad this is known now. Won't be long till they change it, I'm guessing.

Respectfully,
The devs just made an announcement:
There is a problem with the droids, they actually provide a useful purpose, so we will get to work on this right away. There should bea fix where storage droids will decay items twice as fast, and also we changed the creature handlers to be able to tame kangaroos. What this will mean is that a single kangaroo can hold 1000 items in his pouch at novice CH and up to 1000000 for a Master CH. The items stored in the kangaroo will be protected by the animal and therefore gain points instead of decay. This will bring more balance to the profession.
Again we apologize for creating a method to which the droid engineer would be useful.

/JOKE!!!
I will immediately make new droids for all my guildies with 10-item-storage. Bow to me, guildies and have your pets bow to me too. :-))
And Fragnator: you almost gave me a heart attack. Shame on you. ;-)
I don't think that it will get Nerfed. My guess is that it was actually intended this way, to boost the sales of Droids with storage modules, but then again I am a bit optimistic. ![]()
You may be right. I'm sure that 10-items that are decay-protected is a good selling point.
