"All Your Attention Are Belong To Us"

Who wrote that original song anyway? They seem to have been on something at the time. It is supposed to be funny? But then again it makes 0 sense to me why it should be funny or why it even makes any sense.

As far as your post Kilarny...you followed suit to this song. I don't know whether you are being nasty, productive or complimentary to the SOE customer relations team. I guess after reading it 4 times I might have an idea.

Sure call me stupid because I am not following along close enough...but some of this post seemed as though it was not relating to what you responded with.

Heck I dunno...lol. I think being DE is making us all a little nutty...

All your Base are belong to us. It is from a very old, very badly translated Japanese game.

Got it in one. Some of my post was in fact unrelated ranting. And yes.....a LITTLE nutty today.

Yes, I know...that is what I was referring to. That makes no sense, and the fact that it has lived on this long from atari days makes no sense either.

As I recall, the game was "Zero Wing" and I thought it was original Nintendo...played it once long ago when I could rent it for free.

"You have all of our development attention now."

- g 2/12/2004

"Thanks so much for the positive vibe... it means all the difference. Friday we read over your 10 questions again and tried to see how many we could solve within the boundaries of the next two publishes. We will be putting together the In Dev and In Concept posts this next week. We will also set bounds on what kind of stuff we can and can't change.

I know you have been through a lot as a profession, and some of you are rather jaded, if not outright bitter. We dev's have many many many things to do, and 32 other professions to serve as well, so now that the time is here I would much rather spend our time and energy productively and positively with you. I have exchanged PM's with a couple of you and I assure you I do understand your viewpoint. Please continue to be patient with us, and I promise much more info this next week."

-g 2/16/2004

"Thx TH for getting this together. For the rest of the DE's ... we will be paying close attention. We appreciate your patience with us in getting this info out to you."

:-)

- g 2/18/2004

"Folks,

It is going to take us some time to compile and disseminate your requested info. The devs are hard at work right now, and TH is about to take a bit of a (well earned) break. We wanted to get this info out to you, and we are reading your responses (I lurk here alot during this time), but honestly we don't have the bandwidth to go back and answer everything at this moment. Please be patient, and thanks so much for the feedback."

best,

- g 2/19/2004

"For those players on Test Center, Publish 7 is now on Test Center. If you get a chance, please log on and try out some of the new features and feel free to comment on:

  • Droid Damage Repair Kits and Droid Wound Repair Kits – how are they working for you?

  • Droid Battery consumption rate halved (enabling them to last twice as long) – Is this working correctly?

  • Droids will no longer be susceptible to poisons, bleeds, /warcry or /intimidate) – Is this working correctly?

  • Have you found any issues with crafting Combat Droids? How did the modules work? What were the quality levels and how did they stack?

  • Can combat droids attack both ranged and melee? How did they work for you?"

What happened during alpha testing? -Kilarny 3/2/2004

"I have reviewed this thread up to this point. I will be working with the Combat Droiddesigner and the Creature Balance designer and evaluate what we need to do to ensure a CL10 droid is on par with a CL10 pet."

- Runesabre 2/29/2004

How are you gentlemen?! Make your time!

/sharpen pitchfork

I positively want to know how we should be able to tellthat we had all your attention. If you're lurking and reading, fine, but we have no information exchange here.

Question 1: Can we assume you will not directly answer questions in the future?

I ran across an MDE on TC who cannot try most of the new items because of a lack of materials. I run a PA and do not have time to play a DE on TC, alas.

Question 2:Is there some particular reason you have not gifted a TC MDE (/cough Drask's char) with all the materials they need to test the new items?

Oh, and if your entire communication stream breaks down because the Assistant Community Relations Manager is on vacation, that is a problem to be addressed by the...Community Relations Manager, his boss.

Question 3: Why were you not covering for your vacationing employee, or having him covered? This may have to be "kicked upstairs" in your organization in the form of, "Why do we have (x-(x/2)) people to do the work that needs x people?"

Thanks folks! -Kilarny the Annoying Mon

Waiting to see if the developers will ever post again in the DE forum or DE Test/Development threads.
