I achieved the status of master medic last night, and finally got to put it to good use this morning. Up until the event it was merely simple grinding and the occasional dragging of a player, but today I was reminded of why I decided to go down this path.
We were all up at Fort Tuskan (my all time favorite place). There were six of us clearing out the tunnels down below when suddenly a half dozen savages and warlords spawned right on top of us. Instantly they turned and began engaging everyone except for myself (being the medic I am usually afforded the luxury of being surrounded by meat shields--er, players).
Within seconds I started seeing people on the grouplist dropping down to almost nothing in health. Using almost lightning quick reflexes I clicked from one player to another, throwing healing left and right. As soon as I managed to click the heal button on one person, another person got hit. Speedily I toggled over and blasted them with healign as well. back and forth I went as the pile of tuskan bodies formed a ring around our small party next to the pool. I even managed to juggle a couple of heavy bleeders amongst all the healing.
Out of the six of us that were there, five of us were able to cut a path to the lower tunnel exit. The last one who got whacked from full to zero in less than a second I dragged the rest of the way and we were able to get the doctor down there to revive them. All in all I think it was a pretty damm fun thing to have an entire group solely reliant on me for keeping them alive.
Anyhow, this was my first major experience with medic, the path I chose to walk down after retiring from DE. Just thought I'd write back every now and again in here to tell everyone of the greater world than the broken miserable one this profession currently lives in.
So until next time, keep crafting mateys!

Sounds like fun Wood. Guess this game can be fun when you're playing a profession that actually works!
I hope you have a great time with medic. How long until you start to organize a Medic Alliance?

Howdy all!
Well I've come to give you an update on what life is like on the other side of DE, as I am now a master commando and a master TKA.
What do I get from these awesome combat skills?
I get to kill interesting mobs

(sorry, had to tease you guys
)
Fight in GCW battles-

But the big question is- Am I any happier?
Not really. I still miss DE, and the new probot stats are certainly interesting, as well as seeing that new droid in the corvette dungeon (even though DEs can make them, any new droid is a good thing). Commando, while good for PvE, because of the recent flame DOT nerf they are bordering on useless in pvp compared to other combat professions ( rifleman, TKA) and all its weapons are pretty broken other than the universally used flamethrower.
But on a better note, I get more women now. Take note DEs- they like scars. Battle scars. Not the kind you get from assassainWED treadwell droids. Not to mention now I have the biggest and baddest weapons out of all the professions. Of course what comes with that are more dieases, specifically from bothans (you dirty people).
Lurking here, I see a LOT of new DEs, whether hologrinders or those either interesting in the profession or in its upcomming changes, I think is a good thing. After this you guys can get even more attention to get what you want.
So good luck to you all, I hope DE turns out better after these next couple publishes, and for even more in the future.

Heya, ETG....
Quit playin' "grab-the-[thing-that's-really-fun-to-grab]"and get back to the DE boards.
We miss you....(yes, despite your twisted and sometimes ethically questionable comments).
