Thread: Premise of a slicing module, conforming to the No skill mods restriction

Alright, so, we now know that we're not to be able to provide skill mods, or other "similar" effects or abilities. So I've been brainstorming for something that could work, and this is what I came up with.

Slicing modules (more than one):
These modules would allow a smuggler to, with the droid present, avoid using the tools (which they can already construct themselves) at the expense of a (very small) number of wounds on the droid (representing wear and tear on the droid).
There would be one module to represent each of the tools the smuggler would normally have available to them (flow analyzer node, precision cutting laser, etc...)

The smuggler has the advantage of not having to carry around the tools, which as said before he can already make himself or purchase, with the tradeoff that his droid will eventually need repair.

What's the point? This gives people the option to either buy/make the tools, or use the droid and later need to buy a reconstruction kit to keep the droid in good repair. This has the advantage to the smuggler of freeing up inventory space and ensuring that he has the tools he needs, when he needs them. Droid Engineers get the advantage of repeat business in the form of reconstruction kits. The more heavily the droid is used, the more often the droid will need repair.

That's all I could come up with at the moment

End of Line.
