I did some tests last night, and find I cannot call both a droid and non-ch pet at the same time. I tried with a very low level droid, and it did not help. Only thing I could not try was a very low level pet, so the sum of the levels was less than 10.

This is an important feature to the sales potential of droids. Many postings have described the 2 pet ability as an important mitigation to the weakness of the best droids compared to BE non-ch pets. Having the creature tank and the droid attack sounded like a feasible use for the droid.

Any word on when this will work?

Well, first, BE pets are now nerfed. Anything we've created that was worthwhile is new nerfed to be CH only, or the stats are set to "Suck". I made a 2k, 30% resist level 7 Vir Vur. When my friend who is a non-CH was forced to readjust the stats, it went to 300 HAM, 0% reisists, which is incidentally the same as a wild Durni. So, really, your droids can and do compete with non-CH BE pets.

Even aside, 2 non-CH pets can't be called at the same time, so why should a droid AND a pet be called? Droids are treated, essentially, as pets. Only 1 pet can be controlled at once, so there ya go.

Unless I am mistaken, the Dev said we would be able to call a pet and droid out at the same time. I can't it right now and would like to know why. Is there some special rules attached to this that the Devs neglected to mention?

I am sorry, Idiot, that BE pets got nerfed like that. But the fact remains that BE pets can still be doctor buffed, adding 2k+ HA(m) is a huge benefit. And doesn't your vir vur also able to do two special attacks like Knockdown or Dizzy? Out of the box, our pets are very similar. As soon as you take into account the food buffs, the doctor buffs, the special attack commands you can train, and putting a saddle on the beast...droids are left way behind.

Oh, and the pets and droid being called out at the same time is in line for the next publish Idiot. Soon, you should be able to have two fools protecting you.

I chose the handle for reasons of my own. You really don't have to break it apart in attempt to be "witty" and insult me.

Nonetheless, As a CH, I can call a droid and a pet at the same time, because I have the ability to handle 2 things at once. I cannot call 2 pets and a droid, because I can ONLY handle 2 pets at once. So, apparently, the devs feel as I do.

Next, I will check to see if the CL of the droid contributes to the max level I can handle. i.e., If I have the ability to control combined level 30 creatures, and I try to pull a droid and a level 21 pet, it shouldn't be possible. I'll double check that when I get home later.

Look, when people call me "Mal" it's not an insult. If you choose a name like "IdiotFool", and are insulted when someone abbreviates it as "Idiot", then you are being...foolish. People almost alwaysabbreviate the full name of a poster they are speaking to on a message board if the name has more than 2 or 3 syllables. /shrug

But on the issue of having a droid and a non-CH pet out at the same time: the devs told us multiple times that this was going to be one of the big benefits of publish 7. They then pulledit, and never told us that it wasn't being implemented.

No more pet and droid out at the same time for non-CH's since droids were raised to CL13 (not getting into the quality of that rating right now).

As a novice CH, I can call a pet and droid out at the same time. At 0/0/0/3 CH I should be able to call a pet, droid and another pet out at the same time.

I used to be able to do so before the vehicle patch came out. That is when I was no longer able to call out my Non-CH pet and my droid at once. This upset me a bit since my droid was named Kit and my cat was named Kat. I really like my Kit Kat.

Im a very low CH. I can only call one CH pet. Yet I can call a CH pet and a droid. (thats why i got CH in the first place)

I have no other combat skills. When grouped with my probot, my (lev 13?) probot is white. Yet my lev 12 bunny is yellow !

FWIW, I think if CHs can call a Creature and droid at the same time. So should DEs.

One of my toons is a novice CH and he is able to have both a droid and a pet out at the same time.

I wish I was able to make cross-glaxay items for my characters and not have to pay of each item that I can already make.
