Heya, everyone...

I've started a process of going down Gorantoth's Centralized list of DE/droid items and issues...to get some quick, official feedback on each line item.

I expect this to be a steady, ongoing process that will shoot to get info back on a few items at a time, so that we can get some constant official feedback on each item and keep the info flowing as much as possible.

I'm thinking this thread should only be for informational purposes, for now.

Please don't post in this thread for the time being.

Thanks.

A. Droids are not giving any UXP.

Me: "Is this 'dead'? The issue of Droid UXP comes up now and again and it would be good to know if this is gone forever. A simply yes or no would likely do it. I can work up a few lines from there."

TH: "For the UXP, its kind of this nebulous. Its just not a top priority. It would take some serious investigation to find out."

B. Droid names use the standard name filter. Droids should use a modified name filter that allows for numbers in the name.

Me: "Obviously, people want to all have "R2-D2" (which we all know won't and shouldn't happen). The issue of 'Star Warsy' droid names is a very highly pointed to issue, however. As a yes / no, which should be possible. Are properly 'droidy' names in the cards (ever, no ETA)?"

TH: "With the name filter, thats a different issue. Pets are different than droids and with the way droids work, its weeks of work and I just dont see that happening any time soon..."

C. Droids often stop following without reason. This is a generic pet problem as it happens to all pets, not just droids. Pets seem to get stuck on invisible zone boundries. Walking up to about 10-20m from the pet and re-issuing a 'follow' command fixes it (most of the time).

Me: "For the record, I don't see a ton of DEs talking about pathing issues and I know some work has been done on this."

TH: "There has been additional work and will continue to be. Computer AI is like that - - especially in a game work this big."

D. Droid Customization skill only goes to +64 at Master.

Me: "Even though I'm pretty sure I know the answer, it would be good to clarify that +64 is the max. that should be in place (since we only get 64 color choices anyway).

TH: "Lets check and see after the publish."

E. Medical modules affect the effectiveness of stimpacks. Reports say that a stimpack is more effective when a medical module-equipped droid is nowhere to be seen (unless it contains a level 6 module).

Me: "I haven't seen specifics to support this but can you state if this should be occurring (by design) or not?"

TH: "No, I cannot state this."

...more to come as we march down the list for official info.

Stay tuned.
