Brother do a search on the topic, please. There is one heck of a lot of discussion on this very issue. Basically it's broke.

Does the list of toolkits with 'issues' include the Demolitionist's? It has no function at all.

I'm not sure on this. I know the Tailor Corr. is actually all over this toolkit issue. So, we are singing a bit of the same song right now.

I suspect this issue won't be solved soon but it IS getting some focus from both I and the Tailor Corr. We'll see what happens from here...

It is a bit disheartening to hear that this won't get fixed soon. It is a simple bug. All they need to do is make it so that instead of a Droid Repair Kit it requires a Droid Reconstruction Kit-D.

If there is an issue with altering the schematics globally then simply institute an NPC that will exchange old schematics for new the same way that non-DE pets were exchanged when the game was altered and people could no longer control their old pets.

In general I try to be positive in what I say. I may point out issues that people have but I always try to make sure it is realized that I am stating someone else's position and not neccessarily unhappy myself.

This situation makes me unhappy. There is no issue of complex and interrelated systems being effected. There is no issue of balance. There is no issue of creating a new interface that leads to debates about what choices should be nested beneath what menus. It is a simple bug that should be easy to fix.

They should fix the required components AND make it into a belt, not a bandoleer. The belt aspect is even more important in my mind.

If you care about this topic, please go to the Dev tracker and go to TH's last post in the "Weekly Discussion" thread.

You will see his response, and my reply.

It's not getting fixed anytime soon; if we want it fixed we are supposed to get it on the "top issues" list of the core systems forum.

I.E., it's not going to happen.

You find someone who was a DE at least5 months ago and didn't destroy thier stockpile when the devs pulled it from the game and hope they:

a) Didn't quit playing the game and b) feel sorry enough for you to sell you one at a reasonable price.

Yeah, its busted.

By the way, I just made a post on this on the Corr. boards.

There are a few _____smith Toolkits that are having....er....'issues' right now. I'll keep you all in the loop, of course, if/when I hear anything.

By the way, even if you get one, you can't wear it at the same time as a backpack. Ouch.

as annoyed as I am by this issue, I don't consider it very important. Even if they fix the schematic its still useless to almost everyonesince its a friggin' bandolier. And even if they fix that, all its going to do is give me a handful of somewhat decent skill mods. It'll take me time, but I'll eventually have accumulated enough skill tapes to make the thing complete obsolete anyway.

while it'd be nice to have one that I can actually wear, I can live without out, and would rather see other things fixed.

In some sense, I get a perverse pleasure seeing the thing in the game because it was so obviously broken before it was even introduced. Gives me a goodchuckle thinking about that.
