I have been a Droid Engineer for a month now and to be honest I did burn through the leveling. Prior to becoming a DE i really never used a droid over the past 2 years. So i am learning to use them as I build them. Although I am a Master DE by template I still consider myself an apprentice in training. I just finished all the sub needed to make advanced probots and I am steadily working to be able to make all the droid chasis. I have been selling seekers, arakyds, flight computers, and Detonation Droids. Now I would like to branch out and begin making some premade droids. I was leaning towards Advanced Probot Droids with 3 autorepair modules, 1 lvl 6 med module, and 1 data storage module. From your expereinces what tend to be good functioning modules.

Regardless of the chassis they are in a combo of Med/Combat/Repair seem to be good sellers. Crafters are just as good too.

I tend to make droids with just Med Level 6 and a Combat for general fighting and healing and these sell well. I then upgrade this to one that includes crafting ability so that a Medic can craft on the go. Or if they have Bio Engineering xxx4 they can make their own meds. And then I throw in versions of both of these with a Level 6 Item Storage. All at different rates so people can choose what they prefer. All 4 different versions sell though.

And for those that tend to heal others after the battle I make non combatable droids that do the above without the combat options. Cuts down the price somewhat to account for the limitation.

You might want to consider throwing in a combat module and some armor. Probots no longer have innate combat abilities.

For the mass market, I have been selling basic combat models with the probot chassis: One combat, one item storage and a L6 armor module. It keeps the cost down on the model a bit and gives what I consider to be the basics of what a combat droid should have: storage and combat. Just my input.

Big mistake in my opinion. Never give them everything they want. Dont forget they can hold up to 5 droids in their datapad.

Ive had several requests for probots with med 110, storage, etc I absolutely refuse to give it to them. I call this the pre-cu composite syndrome. Players want every possible scenario covered with one droid. Give it to them and they have no reason to buy other droids.

I wont even put storage in astro droids. I sell astro droids as stand alone items (no other add-ons). I sell combat droids with only auto-repair added in. And until they add decay im not about to give the customer anymore than that.

And finally, dont undercharge. I sell mine for 100-150k depending on model. Sell stuff for 30k like some DE i see and you'll soon burn out

Level 6 armor is a waste of resources. Put in Level 4 (or even 2 level 3) and it'll max out.

For the warrior Merchants in your clientelle, put a Barker Module in so they can program it with taunts like "I'll moidalize ya!"

I have 2 sets of Probots that I make.

First is a Non Medic Combat Unit: maxed out combat / auto repair modules one level 6 armour module.

Second is a Combat Medical Unit: maxed out combat, one medical module on level 6 armour module. Doesn't need auto repair due to the Magic Metal Healing Properties (tm) of Bacta

I put some of these on vendor last night for 55k each. Normally I'd agree with SandSifter about not putting everything in one droid, however, with every man and his dog being BH/MCM or BH/Insert Shooty Prof Here/CM4000 then its very useful to have both.

For Probots, I am of the firm belief stick to combat. Meaning max Armor, Combat module, Auto-Repair, and maybe a Med or Stim dispenser.

I make people buy a different droid if they want storage and crafting, they can own 5.
