Thread: Astromech Prices rising again ??
R5 Level 1 Astromech: 25K
R5 Level 6 Astromech: 50K
Flight Computer, any Level: 20K (still have a hard time keeping them on the shelves at that price. To a Pilot, 20K is literally nothing.)
I find my R2 Astros are far more popular than R5s:
R2 Level 1 Astromech: 45K
R2 Level 6 Astromech: 70K (might be up to 10K more on these prices, I forget LOL!)
I had someone offer me 13K for a Level 2 R2 Astromech. I had to restrain myself to keep from typing /slap
P.S. I'm planning an accross-the-board price increase of 10% very soon. Medical Modules I'm raising the price even more (currently 11K for a Level 6; I hope to get that up to 60K)

Agreed. I think you and I are in the mid-range for pricing. The others are definitely on the low-end. Which is not necessarily bad, but you guys are practically giving away your droids. Pilots will pay more for your droids.
My pricing scheme tend to revolve around a base price depending on the chassis, and 5k/module added. I sell R4 astromechs with piloting (any level), combat and item storage for 30k. If the customer wanted an R3 in the same config, I would charge 60k.
Ultimately, you charge what you think your product and time is worth. I think my time and services are valuable, so I charge accordingly.
Thanks guys .. those prices Ive been charging were based on what the server was showing as predominant at the time. I try to do a server price check every publish and make sure Im within the range of the predominant price, although I may have missed out the last 2 checkpoints .
It just so happened that I wanted to see if the person that bought about 10 Astromech Droids from me in one night was selling them on at a huge profit. And lo and behold prices had changed. So yep prices will be redone in the next few weeks ready for the publish when it arrives. Enough time for people to be prepared for possible price rises I would think.

how much do you folks charge for an unprogrammed droid command module?
3k/piece. Used to be 5k, but hey, it's not like they take quality resources to make...

I initially started selling them for 1k a piece and went up to 2k a piece a while back .. will be rejigging the prices soon though. Definitely falling off the vendors at this price but then I think some people are selling pre-programmed chips for a lot higher.

For a long while now I have been selling astromech droids and computers for the following prices on Tatooine:
Level 1 - 11k
Level 2 - 12k
Level 3 - 13k
Level 4- 14k
Level 5- 15k
Level 6- 20k
At first they were just R5 droids and then recently I added a storage module to an R5 Advanced and added an armor module for the same price.
These were flying off the shelf but at the time it was the average price. Yesterday someone bought all but 3 of my droids so I thought I would check to see if he was selling them on at a profit.
To my surprise I find on Dantooine someone selling the same droid setup as myself at the following prices:
Level 3 - 15k
Level 5 - 40k
So am now thinking of re-jigging my prices for the Publish 24 release (already sent a warning message to customers so they are aware of the fact). Thinking perhaps the following prices:
Level 1-6 Computers and R5s - ( 1-11k 2-12k 3-13k 4-14k 5-15k 6-20k)
Level 1-6 R5 Advanceds with Storage modules ( 1-21k 2-22k 3-23k 4-24k 5-25k 6-30k
What are other radiant DEs charging .. I know theres not many of us
My DE is on radiant, my normal charges if Im not about to move house and want to clear space is 60k for a lvl 6 flight droid with a few extras chucked in, I sell base R2 units with no options for 20k. You are underchargeing
although as a competitor who you are undercutting by a large margin I would say that, lol.
Seriously DE's are shooting themselves in the foot by under chargeing. Grind pilot a bit realise how usefull a good droid is realise what loot is like. Your current prices the droid is paid for in a maximum of 10 kills, and kills come thick and fast in space.
I know DE's are nice guys and all want to provide value for money etc, but we are the most underchargeing artisan trade going. for the work that goes into createing droids. Now that Ive seen the riches of other professions my prices are going one way - up.
