Is this number effected by other animal pets, starships, vehicles or faction pets?

5 droids for everyone. You will need to make sure you have enough space in your datapad though.

Is space in the Datapad much of an issue? Maybe I'm just not making umpteen draft schematics, but I've only got 20% full. Personally I'd like more vehicle spots available maybe, plus more droid spots for DEs of course.

Waypoints seem to take up the most datapad space. If you delete your old ones it shouldn't be a problem.
