Hidey Ho peeps!

I took a break in the game for 4mo right before the CU, now I'm back and I grinded out DE on my to master DE. In my enthusiasm, I'm hosting a guild Droid Pit Fight forcash prizes and to boost overall guild morale.

But then came the dreaded realization that every combat droid that I make, trying different levels of modules, in the D270, LE Repair Droid, Probot etc, despite what the guide above says (which is extremely informative) they all had health of 3700 or so and the same 43-284(?) attack and 6k armor. And despite them all being CL30 they die trying to fight a CL17 citizen or a drunk womprat...

I had just become a jedi and I thought that jedi was nerfed beyond all desirability but this happens to be the most bugged and broken proffession in the game. Which is really too bad, because I like it so much I'm not changing =].

So is this what I should expect that no matter what the resources I have, no matter what tapes I use, no matter what components I use I'm going to churn out psuedo-CL30 (really cl10's probably in effectiveness) combat drones?

I was using combat modules in some and clusters of modules, single and multiple lvl4 and lvl3 armor modules and occasionally throwing in a repair module with all the same effect.

Please tell me that I'm a noob and I forgot something! =]

thx

You grouped with your droid didn't you?

I've noticed this a few times, I group my CL 1 character with a CL 30 droid and the droid gets canned. I ungroup it, fix it up and send it back in and it takes a small scratch.

But yeah the combat droids are pretty rubbish, armour values and combat module values (apparently) have no bearing anymore as to how the droid performs. This is pretty sad

Best thing to do atm is use one combat module, some armour modules then stuff all the other slots up with auto-repair modules.

at first, as you did pre cu, i grouped my droid and it got it's blow-off valve kicked. >__<

sent him, a LE Repair Droid with a slang chip named Tyson (in my head, since the naming thing is borked on him) at a random cl22 npc spawn and next thing I realize is that when he finally incaps my droid he's gonna come after me! lol

but on a good note, with my jedi and another buddy of mine last night, we went up against the katarn (which is rather difficult for two peeps both being melee) and we both pulled out our rusty old had-since-preCU-so-DE's-don't-get-repeat-business probots and they really made a significant difference in the fight until they finally sucuumbed to the 30+m area attacks(wha??) of the ol' double braketed cl87 katarn.

got our badge though! =]

If you are below cl30 dont group with your combat droid. His level will come down to yours and his effectiveness will be junk. If you are above cl30 you can group with him and he'll preform at his best possible ability.
