So I was wandering the wilds of Naboo in search of shops that sold Power Core Units. No luck, but I finally found my Electronic GP Modules But that's a different story.

Anyways, wandering into one of the player cities, there was a building called "something something *Droid Army*" so I went in, and this is what I saw.

That's me in the front. I thought the 3PO's were gonna kill me.

Heh cool.

You should walk into my shop when I am doing a restock. Sometimes I have 50+ droids lined up. Looks cool as hell with all the R3's wobbling in harmony.

Power Cores are a pain to find, I ended up taking a box in Arch so I can just make them myself.

Doesn't every DE's shop look like that? Mine is stuffed to the gills with droids...

As for the power core units, I agree with straker. They're a pain in the arse to find and so I also took up the necessary Arch boxes.

Once you're making them yourself you can appreciate WHY they aren't easy to find.. They take a bucket load of stuff to make so a crate of power cores would not be particularly cheap...

I wish I could find some of my old screen shots. At one point in time, I put together 25 Protocol Chassis,25 LE Chassis, and25 Surgical Droid Chassis, 25 Probot Chassis, 25 R2 Chassis, and 25 R3 Chassis. I placed all 150 Droids along the walls in the back room of my Medium Generic House, with a Sqaure Metal Chair set upacross from the door. Had kind of aKing of the Droids feel to it.

I used the XP gained from that droid run,to finally Master the profession.

As for the Power Cores, I highly suggest picking up Achitect to craft them yourself. If youMaster Artisan, or hit 4400 and get some good quality Micro Sensors andControlUnits, make a factory run of Droid Storage Compartments so that you cancraftPrivate Crafting Stations using the optionalcomponents. Since the Crafting Stations are based on your Artisan Experimentation, you will be able to produce stations with a FRabove 15. With decent resources, you should beable to produce 20ish rated Crafting Stations, whichtend to sell pretty darn well. If you do this, just remember that the resource values of all aspects of the Personal Crafting Station mater, including the Micro Sensors, the GPchips, the ControlUnits, and the Droid StorageCompartments.

The Crafting Stations are a good way to suppliment your income, and they give decentXP - around 900 xp per build. Youmight also want to try going 0441 Architect, so that you can build yourself a few Factories, and afew Harvesters as well.

Heh, what's funny Drashk is that I was jsut mucking around with this last week. I am Master Artisan, with a little Arch as well. I knew quality on the MS, CU, and SC's mattered, I didn't know about the EGP and EMM's though.

I hit like 43.78 just messing around. I wonder what I could hit if I exp on the EMM's and Egp's.

Back to Power Droids...

They are actually a decent market, especially with all the Doc buffbots popping up. I have always stocked them on my vendor, but they never moved. Since they didn't move much I kept them fairly cheap at 50k, with 10 item storage as well.

A couple of months ago, Doc buff bots really started to grow, the power droids started to move. I kept them at 50k cause I hate raising prices. The problem was that I noticed many of the same people buying them over and over again. Later I found out they were selling them, next to their buffbots on vendors for 75-100k. The fact that they kept buying more meant they were sellnig them at that price.

In consideration of the new demand, and the resale factor, I raised my prices up from 50k to 65k, plus these guys really suck to make. Even if you have the Arch to make them, power droids totally suck up factory time and resources. At 65k people can still resell them if they want, I just get a little more profit myself. "Normal" sales havn't dropped either.

So in short, Power Droids suck, make sure you get paid for your pain.

God, I hear this and that about so much other stuff that we have to take just to be effective in Droid Engineer. I made a post about this. I know I for one, there's other stuff that I want to do in this game, and with the stuff I want to do, I'm already over by 49 skill points with the stuff I want to do. I don't think it's right to have to take up other classes (Master Artisan, Architect) to be effectient at another (Droid Engineer). I have other things that I want to do with this game too. (BTW, in case it sounds like it, I'm not getting mad at the people telling me to get artisan and architect, I appreciate the advice. I'm disgruntled over the fact that we have to take other classes to be efficient in 1)

I really wouldn't have a problem with buying these components from the other classes, but the other classes are either not available, or not crafting those items. So it's really seeming like I either take Master Artisan and Architect, or Droid Engineer is just gonna be a waste of my time...

Well, I'm gonna stick with my gameplan right now. I wanna master Droid Engineer, and then get some trees in Rifleman, Musician, and Creature Handler. I still need to figure out some skills to get rid of with that, cuz that goes over, but I'm gonna stick with that gameplan for right now, cuz those are the things I want to do with my character. I'll probably start crying a bunch if things get too far out of hand.

As for the Power Droids, I dunno how well they sell, but I'd like to build 1 just for myself, so that I can recharge other people's droids for them. I was in the cantina last night, and the person was afk, so they couldn't recharge their poor R3 unit that was flashing *Low Power* for about 5 hours. I felt sorry for the poor neglected droid.

Here's a reason why Master Artisan is a good thing to have: It's a big bargaining chip. Why?

1) People who want MA components, bargain for stuff. Example: Armorsmiths need 'em for PSG's. I once traded 2000 parts for a set of really nice Ubese armor ( a loooong time ago ). Not a bad deal since I keep 'em in stock anyway.

2) AV-21's.

3) Death Watch Bunker Jetpack. It takes a DE to enter the room, and a MA to make the jetpack.

4) People will go to long lengths to avoid taking up Master Artisan, to the point of paying some serious credits when they find one.

Hey Nell,

Don't forget that you can always pick up the skills now and later on drop the skills. My suggestion is to pick up at least Master Artisan while you are grinding your way through the other professions you want to pick up. Once you hit Master Artisan, gather together some resources that you can set aside so that you can run off a few schematics of EMM and EGP chips, as well as some Control Units. You don't need the Master Artisan tag inorder to factory run the parts, just the schematic and the resoruces. If you do this, don't forget about making a few dozen crates of Micro Sensors as well.

You could also pick up Architect so that you can create a few crates of Power cores, to set aside.

After you run off the schematics and factory crates of the items you need, simply drop the skills you don't need. This will give you a pretty nice surplus of items that you can use until you are able to befriend a Master Artisan, and/or Architect.

Just a few more suggestions to consider.

That's pretty much what I did...picked up some Architect, made a factory run of power cores (they are a b*tch to make), and dropped Architect. Considering the number of Power Droids I sell (next to none), I should be set for a while.

Powercores are a pain...

What i did was look for the appropriate components to be put in the powercore assembly, go to a Architect and let him make a template according to the components i provided...

Starngely i have 20 powerdroids on stock but nobody bought them yet...

I too picked up some architect to make power cores. I put a merchant barker modules in the finished power droids and they actually sell pretty well for me

I have a couple arch friends who can help me out with power cores, so that's all good

I haven't tried power droids with merchant barker yet, butI will now... i've been putting lvl 6 item storage in em, and selling em for 70K and they go pretty good!

I kept master artisan, and have crafted 2 jetpacks on flurry now!! WOOOT! I wonder if i can get "master jetpack crafter" as a title after the 3rd one (hopefully soon). I've had a great time going down into the DWB with a well organized group.

here's an after screen shot of me on the 2ndjetpack.. unfortunately it's not my best side!
