Howdy,

Did something changed with the CU or do the storage-droids still have only 10 slots of inventory?

What changed with the combat droids? I'm thinking about buying one...

The storage droids still hold 10 items and droid HAM was significantly reduced.

Another thing to consider is some people are concerned when they see the Combat Level of the droid.

Probot Advanced with 5 combat modules (104 each) around 520 combat rating .. combat level 18

R3 Advanced with 6 combat modules (104 each) max 600 combat rating ... combat level 18

It seems that the highest droid level is 18 which means people buying them solely for fighting mobs for them are disappointed as clealy a level 18 droid cannot be expected to defeat anything above level 19 let alone higher.

The other day, after almost a year of droid sales I had my first complaint. He had bought a R3 Advanced Combat only droid and reported several wacky things happening and said that the cost of the droid (110k) was too much for such a low level droid. I tried to replicate the problem he was having with the droid but no luck. Anyway, after a long discussion on what seems to be the new use for combat droids (assistance only or defense) we worked out a compromise and he exchanged it with a Probot Advanced Combat droid. The player in question was a ranged fighter and I suggested that it may be the best option for him as they are more ranged fighters than the R units which seem to be melee based. Since we did that I have yet to have any problems regarding the new droid he is using.

So, basically, I am wondering if combat droids are better sold as defensive use only by non fighters or as assistance for other fighters. In which case should price structure be re-evaluated to take into account that they do not seem to have as much value in use as it used to before the combat upgrade.

Also, it is sounding like it may be more feasible for harvesting droids be R units as they are nearer to the target and may get attacked and also for trapping droids to be Probots as they are able to work from a distance ? What do you think ?
