Thread: New Master Joins the Ranks

Well boys & girls I made master yesterday, only I wish it was as straightforward as that.
I've been playing since about a week after launch (the joys of Importing collectors edition to the UK) and have always wanted to be a Droid Engineer.
The flip side however is that I flatly refuse to grind (I play for fun and I dont find grinding fun) so have been progressing as fast (or slow) as sales dictated (ok I'll admit I did grind my way from Novice to Blueprints 1)
Post CU my skills were 1203 (pretty sad when you consider how long I've been playing) and my sales consisted mainly of BH droids and the occasional flight comp/astromech - however the respec changed all that
Which I guess is the crux of my post. While I am now master (thanks to Merchant xp and the respec function) I dont feel I've earned it and only hope that it doesnt diminish my enjoyment of playing the game (at least I can now trade DE xp in at the village I suppose), I guess in a way I've cheated but, unfortunately morals lost out to the propsect of spending a couple more years levelling up in DE.
If you look at the bigger picture I suppose the game is at fault for making most of what a DE can produce entirely optional, and therefore making any 'natural' progession in the profession so long winded anysane person wouldnt consider it.In compariso,I also spent time during respec with one of the armoursmith trees (the armour one) and would have had little difficulty levelling up in that profession making stuff that there was actually a demand for (had I not been a DE and simply trading the armoursmith xp in at the village that is!)

Don't sweat feeling like a "fakie" master. You did earn it, even if it was from Merchant skills.

hehe well at least you admited to being a respec lol... unlike the countless others who say im not a respec i just uhhhhh forgot?! lol

Bah, I ground it out myself. So basically I made Master not knowing anything about Droids really. Everything I learned came after that. No reason to feel bad.
