Thread: Trying to learn DE crafting droid building problem

Hi there, sorry for the newbie questions, im struggling to figure out DE (not very experienced on the crafting side of things) and Ive got stuck, figured this would be the place to get some help!

Im trying to create a crafting droid with all the stations (I belive you can get a droid with all the stations on, I remember being told that you could only fit 5/6 of the stations due to module limits, but i think that has changed because I can only find 5 stations to make now).

My problem is, I cant figure out how to fit them all on. I cant add the crafting stations themselves to droids, but I can if i add them to a combat capable socket cluster. But that only lets me put three in, and only one of those can go on the R2 advanced model Im working on (im assuming that the lower the R model, the more advanced the droid, so the R2 Advanced should be the best one to experiment on - right?). So anyway, am I missing a better component that the stations can go into to get all 5 on one droid?

Thanks for any info, I appreciate the effort helping a confused fellow DE!

The R2 Advanced will hold one Combat Cluster and two Modules...totalling 5 modules. The R3 Advanced will hold two Combat Clusters...totalling 6 modules. Hope that helps.

Technically, you CAN add just the crafting module to a droid. Depending on the droid, crafting modules can be added to a droid chassis inside a cluster, or solo. You can make an MSE mouse droid with a crafting module (no cluster), or put 5 modules inside 2 clusters and put those 2 clusters inside an R3.

The previous poster is right about the R2... you can make it with all 5 potential slots filled with crafting modules. 3 will be in the cluster, and 2 solo. Might as well make it an R3 tho, and give yourself an Item Storage module too... they help to carry stuff.

Jedi will never be a starting profession...Looted items and quest items will never be better then crafted items, this is not a loot based game...CH will return shortly...CH and BE will not be back in game...Rangers are getting their revamp next!...The stealth system will not be changing in the spy expertise...Need any more examples of things the devs said that did not hold true?
