Probots need micro sensor suites, but you can make the micro sensor suite one of two ways -- either with or without an energy distributor. Does the energy distributor have any impact when crafitng the probot? Or should I just save the effort and go with micro sensor suites without the optional distributor?

build the stripped down micro sensor suite. it makes no difference.
