Can anyone post the info for DEnet and all the corresponding (or not) inter-server and intra-serverDe communities.

I hear people mentioning these, but no concrete info on them.

(this is for everyone's benefit, I actually do know some about them)

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

I really should post a FAQ on all this. I should really post it on our new website also (so much stuff to do...)

But, in a nutshell, heres the info. A few months ago on server Ahazi a couple of us set forth to unite all the Droid Engineers under one flag. This server-wide syndicate was linked together in a mailing list called the DEnet. With the mailing list, DEs regularly share mineral waypoints for rare mineral spawns that we need, as well as info on bugs and hot Droid Engineer topics.

Out of the DEnet was formed the Droid Engineer Association, or DEA. This was the name given to the loosefitting syndicate of Droid Engineers who have started meeting regularly to help one another out and talk about the profession.

Recently we have opened our DEA meetings to all the servers, have also encouraged several other servers to attempt to set up the same system foundation on theirs. Sodan is running Intrepid, Osarp is on Flurry, and myself (Woodrow Acktoe) on Ahazi.

Thats basically all concerning the setup. As the DEs on Ahazi can attest, it is definately a great thing to have going round, as at the current stage of the profession means that the only way we can enjoy keeping ourselves above water is through cooperation.

Hehe, tnx for the background info Woody.

Any info about the technical side of starting and running or joining such an organization?

Is the mail list in-game (ack!)?
How/where is it hosted?

How are the chats hosted, ICQ?

When are the in-game meetings again?

What other forms of communication do you use?

What other features/functions do you provide?
(you mentioned resource waypoints)
