Thread: Idea on chassis vs module implementation
I've been thinking the same thing...
Some chassis get bonuses for certain modules (e.g., Medical in Surgical Droids, Repair in LE Droids), some get penalties (e.g., Medical in a BLL...)
Couple that with Max module ratings for certain chassis (e.g., Nothing higher than Level 3 in a MSE droid).
I posted this very idea a while ago in some other thread. I can't remember where or when ![]()
You should check out the threads by TheRealTK421 called Focus Threads. I believe Sintrosi made links for them in the DE Player Ideas sticky at the top. Focus #2 is regarding chassis. I know I put in a long post to that one, but honestly can't remember if that is where I put in this idea. If I didn't I meant to ![]()
Just a thought, wanted to get the community's impression and this may have already been said before but here goes. The developers want a basic "Swiss Army Knife" system for droids yet we have these very specific chassis types which really mean nothing. Well a REAL simple fix to promoting certain modules into certain droids could go as follows
Every module could have a base stat, and certain chassis's could have bonus's to those stats should that module be used. Example:
Surgical = +2 to medical modules, LE Repair = +2 to repair, R2 = +2 to Crafting Experimentation, BLL = +5 to itemstorage, etc.
Very simple thing to implement and would promote people wanting specific chassis's for specific needs while not enforcing it completely.
