Hey,
i heard about the Comming Droid Update. Now my Question is:
is it Possible to create a simple Script Language for Droids? Example:
if <player> says "hi" then {
say "my Master is currently Not Avaiable"
}
or something like that. i think it would be great! ![]()

Not possible right now, but it is a good idea. Perhaps with a "program" module....
Program1 Module: allows basic scripting
Program 2-5
Program 6 Module: allows advanced scripting

I've heard this idea a few times in the past. I would absolutely love a nice scripting language for droids

The problem I find is that people who is not used to program languages may find it hard to use...

Noone would be forced to use it. Besides, I'm sure theres enough programming gurus out there that can make scripts.. everyone else just needs to know how to copy/paste

yea, I know I've seen this come up at least once before, I love the idea myself. It would not only add some more function to droids, but it would also add a ton of diversity. There would finally be some trademark difference in DE's products. Yea, I'm sure scripts would be everywhere on various forums after about an hour, but you'd still find differences all over the place. The main problems I can see for it are the difficulty to implement (I'm not sure how difficult it would be, but it could possibly take a good deal of development time)and the possibility for exploits (Any time you've got a script/macro system there are numerous exploit possibilities).

Awesome idea. I don't know how to script, but macros are always being posted so I am sure neat scripts would be as well.
