Woo! Look at all the dissapointment all over these boards!
Heck, I just bought an R3 combat/storage/crafting droid on Bria from K'wnth (DE) and could clear my datapad of all other pets and droids. I love the improvements and have agenuinefeeling of in-game progress of technology. Better yet, K'wnth, most assuredly under the same tell-hell as the rest of the DE's, took the time to whip together a bonus customer package including batteries and repair kits, and even cutsom-colored my R3's chasis while getting PM'd for Adv Propbots. K'wnth was particularly concerned with doing a good job on the droid even though he had no lack of paying customers.
As a TK I lack for range, DOT and alternate damage types, and my new R3 helps fill those gaps. I'm thirilled. And looking at what the DE community is driving for, I'm even more excited about what's to come! So thanks to the DE community, but a special thanks to DEs like K'wnth.

Awesome! I need to get me one... The only thing I have read about is all the old droids and how they are crap now. But with new things the older stuff always looses value. Must find a MDE!

yes there are good things in this publish. I crafted a maxed out LE combat droid for myself and took it to fort tusken with me. He wasn't dealing out the damage, but he tanked well and kept the aggros away from me so I could head shot and mind shot at my liesure. I was with a CH and one of her pets. So long as I kept the LE away from the "warlords" he was able to suck up damage for quite some time before I needed to repair him.
As a business man, the problem for me is that the surprise changes to the general socket clusters and the chassis customization have set me back so far on existing non-combat orders that I am unable to serve orders for the new combat droids withoutabandoning my existing customers, which I can't do.
