So its verified - An ADV Probot with level 3 amor is exactly the same as an ADV Probot with level 6 armor. I made exceptional plates, everything was great, including the final experimentation - came out with 62% effectiveness, and it has exactly the same numbers as the level 3 one - 40% resists, medium armor, and 820 HAM.

Whats thepoint of having level 4,5,6 armor if the same job cn be done with level 3 at a TINY fraction of the cost? We've taken a lot of neglect and abuse since this game started, and I'm all but resigned to accepting it. But the one of the last few things keeping me going was that I'd be able to build a bomb probot once we got duralloy. Can we expect the same when, if at all, we get new stuff to build?

Sinostri, please include this in the next report you send off to the dev's recycle bin. Thanks.

man, I thought I was losing it...thanks for verifying that it's yet another broken droid feature. I *just* got the materials to make level 5/6 armor on our server (link-steel alum) and imediatly popped out 2 armor 6 mods and threw together an R2 to replace the one I had, which had armor 4 mods, (medium armor, 40%). Imagine my SHOCK and ANGER when realized that the FAR more expensive level 6 armor yielded the same results!

man, i hate being a DE some days. this was one of them.

1 plate of level 3 armor is Light Armor, 40%
1 plate of level 4 armor is Medium Armor, 15%
1 plate of level 6 armor is Medium Armor, 40%

If you are only using 1 plate, then the different levels matter, but if you stick in 2 level 4 plates it's still going to max out your armor. I understand the frustration, but please do thorough testing and pay attention to the results before complaining

Well said Jonas.

In the future, perhaps something else will take advantage of the second armor slot, compelling people to seek out level VI armor modules.

For the time being, based on all the results posted on these boards... it is more cost-effective to use twox lower level modules.

Kind of gives you an incentive to get a droid with 2 armor slots huh? Hmm.. there is a bit of droid differentiation that is easy to overlook

I'll be honest, this is the only reason I sell advanced probots, lol, it's easier to do since I can just shove in 2 level 4 armor plates instead of using a composite armor segment with the level 6 one.

Most likely Medium Armor, 40% is a hard cap for probot droids (all current droids). We can only hope that if/when we get newer, more advanced droids (like droideika(sp)) that we'll be able to see some benefits from doubling up higher end armor, although I doubt it. SoE went through and took Medium Armor off of most of the pets out there that had it, so they obviously feel that it is overpowering...we can hope though!

What I'd like isn't more armor, it's a force field generator to fit into that second slot. Let armorsmiths make them, I'll buy
