Thread: Protocol Droids, and a general droid question(s)...
I recently purchased a protocol droid. Apparently they say things once in awhile. I just thought he'd be cute to have out in the cantina while I perform. This is true, isn't it? I haven't had him out much. Anyway... how do I name him? I don't want to screw it up. Once I saw a "droid guide" somebody had made.. said he spent more time explaining how to use droids than he did making them.. it was really great, but I didn't bookmark it because I didn't think I'd ever want a droid. I'd like to read it again.
Do I like, say "i wanna program a command into you" and then say "name <what I want command to be>?" That's what I gather from what I've heard here and there, but I want to be sure so I don't name him "follow" or something.
And under what conditions will he talk?
You cannot name any 'conversation based' droid yet
My 3PO has never said anything outside of the programing conversations (but I dont believe he has a personality chip which may be the reason why)
Wonder why they call them talking, because no matter what personality I put in, it only responds to the programming menu.
Funny thing is, when you hover the mouse over a "talking" droid owned by someone else, you get the conversation icon. Double click, utter silence...
For talking droids, there is no procedure as of yet
