Thread: FACTORIES how do they work
Hi all im new to artisan and about to hit box 1 novice DE, and my question is what are factories and how do they work, currently i have all my LOTS used up 2 power, 2 chemical 4 steal 2 on small house.
so if i get factory how many slots does it use and DO I need it.
what do they do for me.
Factories use one lot.
When you craft an item with a specialized tool in front of a crafting station, you have the choice of creating a prototype item or a schematic at the last step. A schematic can be limited to a particular number of uses (whether that number is 100 or 1000 depends on how you set it and who you ask).
The schematic can be put into the factory, along with enough of the exact same resources used to create the schematic to create the items you want, add power and maintenance, stir and wait for your items.
Most useful for mass production of subcomponents, or for after you've achieved master status and don't need every scrap of XP you can get.
I don't think factories work yet, if you get one be ready to sit next to it all day waiting for it to quit halfway thru a production run. They could be working, I ripped mine out 3 days ago and have decided to give up crafting til they are working again reliably or until the end of month comes and my account expires.
