I was just wondering what the customization life span ment? my droid had one at 12

We can guess that in the future, you can change the color of existing droids by using Customise Droid, on it's radial. The customization lifespan will slowly expire, until it runs out and reverts to it's original color. Then, the owner will have to take the droid to a Droid Engineer, to get it re-colored. No confirmation, but this seems pretty likely from what I've been able to piece together.

For a new paint job, in effect? That would be cool.
