Thread: Droid PermaDeath is gone.
It's not a bug, but I don't think it's in its finished state yet either check this post...

This happened right after the big patch where they implemented permanent death. Sometimes your droid wouldn't die and instead loose vitality. However, this situation was soon rectified on the following death when your droid fell down and went boom. Permantly.
Guys, watch the LIVE server patch notes...

OH BALLS... permadeath is alive and well, just wasted my probot finding out... TEST IT BEFORE YOU POST IT NOOB
If you'll read my post it clearly states that i am unsure as to if permadeath was gone or not. I am mearly asking if somebody else has seen this behaviour before and what the use vitality pack option is all about in the droid radial menu. Like i said, this happend on a droid created today.
And as for testing it, thanks for your help.
OK, just to squash this rumour, I created a DZ70 droid, and sent it out to attack a Gorg. The result: the corpse of a droid.
Please, only post facts that you know as tested and true. It would have been better to title this thread "Droid PermaDeath MAY be gone", rather than stating a fact that "Droid PermaDeath is gone". There is a difference.

I have a Vitality Packed, nonpermadeath Probot too.
It did not die when incapped and it suffers vitality losses upon death like pets. The funny thing is, it actually uses the Bio-stims from BEs to regain vitality losses too. It seems to be a bug or a mixed up of codes where the game codes may thought that the driod is actually a "pet" upon creation.
Non-permadeath driods seem to be totally random. I tried using another Probot that I have made to see if it died and it did.
Still, I am happy with one "bugged" Probot for now
.
Has this only happened once, or more than once? It appears that sometimes you have a "first death is free" and then it dies for good.

I made a probot. He died and is dead. Perma death is a live and well.

I agree, my bad. After i posted it i realized that it was probably not worded the best. My bad, and I apologise. But the fact remains, that probot didn't die.
I wasn't really trying to stir the pot here, and i know that one instance doesn't constitute proof. I was just looking to see if others have experianced similar results.
Sorry for any troubles that this may have caused anybody.
