I.E. would better steel used in a droid effect it at all? just curious.

There seems to be a consensus opinion that quality/experimentation on droids doesn't have any effect on the finished product.

I'd love to hear evidence that this is wrong, but I can wait until I HAVE a few more experiment points to hear it.

Oh yes...it definitely matters.

The stats of the resources use affect the outcome in regard to:

- Experimental Durability
- Experimental Effectiveness
- Experimental Quality

Want proof?

Just make a droid with whatever you have on hand.

Then, change just one of the resource items (from one type of steel to another) and watch the items above change. When you change the resource used, you change the outcome. Period.

Now, it's unclear to me (yet) how this actually affects the droid/deed. However, it is clear to me that the resources you choose to use do have an impact on the numbers you'll get above.

Yeah, I've only noticed Adv Probots going from 820 HAM to 819 or something silly like that, not worth the trouble.

Yup... couldn't argue with that. If you use different materials you will get different results for these stats. However (and this is a BIG however), having assembled literally thousands of various components and droids any effect at all (miniscule at best) these have on your final product are entrely negligible. You may get an R2 with an extra 3 health.... or a Probot with an extra 3 damage.

I have had amazing successes and critical failures at experimenting all of these stats for both components and final droids... haven't ever (not even once) noticed any real difference in the final product.
