Thread: Artisan Skill
As a DE we shouldn't have to rely on artisan skills to create componets like memory modules and control units. Why can't the DE make everything that that droid needs without having to rely on artisan skills.
Some DE's are not Master in Artisan because they want to be a combat/DE, so that makes that individual have to rely on a master artisan
you have to buy armour from armour smiths and will soon have to buy weapons from the weaponsmith, you could just buy the items from a artisan like they have to buy the droid storage compartment to be able to buld crafting stations and repair tools
Metal is stronger than Meat, Meat Dies, Metal gets recycled.

Armorsmiths rely on tailor for clothing items but do not need to be master tailors. I don't think weaponsmiths depend on other crafting classes for so much of theirweapon crafting needs Architects need druid storage compartments but do not need to be master droid engineers.
The question still stands why do droid engineers rely so heavily on master artisan???
You guys aren't the only ones. As an Architect I'm also dependent on Master Artisan. I think they made most of the crafting elite professions this way. I'm 0-0-3-1 in Architect and I'm looking at atabout six components I need from a Master Artisan and one from DE's so far. Some are optional but most are required for my schematics.
GP Modules, Power Conditioner, Energy Dist are all required. The others are optional. Also have the droid storage units as optional.
My plan is to hit Master Artisan. I have an Equipment Factory made and waiting. Run off a couple crates of these pieces I need. Then drop the skill along with Domestics and Merchant and use them elsewhere. This makes me only dependent on one item that I can get from just one person if need be. Otherwise it would have been two or more people and seven components.
The only other option was to purchase them from another and be dependent on their prices and time constraints.
Grinding thru the Artisan tree though is tedious so I'm not rushing it right now. If I never see another piece of bone armor I'd be more than happy. *eye roll*
