Can anyone tell me if the Droideka blueprint is still available, what you need to do to get it and how easy it is?

Thanks

Notice I said blueprint - not schematic :-)

Apparently it is/wasa loot drop or mission reward item in the Droid Engineer cave on Lok and I'm busy decorating my droid workshop.....

It was a rumor a while back, never actually existed.

I payed 50 bucks for SWG but when I bought it I had no clue I was paying for the beta...

funny thing is I get charged 15 bucks a month and it's still in beta

I believe it's a rumor, like most, that had it's roots (however remotely) in fact. There are two versions of this as far as I can tell:

1) At one time (before the city mission revemps, i.e. when they changed them around and added the quest-resetting NPCs) there was an NPC (Imperial if I remember correctly) that talked about delivering/gathering Droideka schematics. It was just a part of the NPC dialogue (or description?) of a mission, nothing else.

2) I once heard tell of actual discs to assemble such a thing by collecting discs, but it being not an actual schematic once you assembled them, a cash reward for turning it in instead, like the Rebel discs that are still in live play (that you get like 800cr for). I remember people looking for them in beta, but have no idea if they actually existed at any point or were just a rumor that came from #1.

I tend to doubt the validity of the second one, but I'm almost positive that in late beta/early live I experienced #1. It was before I had become a DE (so, actually, it was likely at the end of beta then) so I didn't pay it much mind at the time, but I swear I can see the NPC (older Imperial male) just outside a Starport trying to send me on some hair-brained mission that mentioned Droidekas.

Then again, in my late night play sessions that went on and merged with my sleep, I could be completely wrong. We may never know. But this is the one that just won't go away. That's the beauty of an urban legend.

But isn't it true that in the early days of the game, if you killed a driodeka sometimes you could loot "droideka parts"? Not a schematic or a blueprint, but droideka parts. I believe it looked like one of our basic DE components. Wish I could have one of those loot drops.

I have looted a Droid Brain before. I think I still have it in some unlocked container somewhere. If any of you know about DE loot drops, could there be anything special about it or is it just another substandard part (ie. CDEF Pistols and Clothing)?

The Droid Brain is a quest item that was 'made by Anakin Skywalker'.

It is no better and no worse then a droid brain that any Droid Engineer can craft.
