I'm a droid engineer, and I left the game and recently have come back after purchasing another month. So... I'm kind of out of the loop, I went searching for a topic on my question, but the search was unavailable and I need help so these are my questions:
What does it take to put together at droid capable of being helpful in space?
What is the ship component i can build? what do they do? what makes them different in levels?
Whats the blank harddrive I can build? what does it do?

Astromech + Data module (rating level for pilots 1-6, stackable/experimentable for higher level)

There isnt any, but some ships take flight computers in lieu of astromechs.
Whats the blank harddrive I can build? what does it do?
It allows pilots to load droid programs into their droid/flight computer that they dont themselves know, by having another pilot program them.

Not all ships use Astromechs. Hardly any of them do, Z-95, Y-Wing, X-Wing (maybe A-Wing). All the other ships use flight computers, which is just a flight computer component that DEs also make.

Actually a lot of the new expansion ships take Astros as well.

right, but the question mentioned how to make a droid suitable for space, I'd assume by looking in your crafting tool you can see that there are flight computers.

Right, you guys had already given him good info about what droids and such were needed. I didn't feel a need to repeat it. I just wanted to make sure people know that there is more of a call for Astros then there used to be.
