Little bored so I wanted to test one out, threw some lvl 4armor in for gp, not gong for anything uber and came out 535 lvl 18.
Test subject was a lvl 68 unarmed and armored.
Started the duel and waited to see first shot from droid and typed n endduel.
What was interesting.......in the time it took to accept duel and then type in end duel the droid hit 12 times vs 1 for the opponent, they hit for 105 and the droid for around 75-80 each. Now i guess I should test a few more times but just out of curiousity is droid firing rate correct? I totaled the dmg and close to 900, saying 5 sec's of duel(and i think less) we looking at a dps of 180.
Thought's? Been awhile since I did DE and wondering if things have changed that much.

Take a look at the other persons combat logs to see how much the droid was actually hitting them for.

last night i found out that droid armor does work: my droid got hit with 1065 points of damage and the droids armor absorbed 4 of it.
don't get me wrong here but wouldnt tin foil provide more absorsion rate for damage? i mean come on thats like .4% armor.
EDIT: forgot the essentials. i got a pre CU probot with2900 ham (2) level 4 armors and (5) 85-90 rated combat modules. i went PVP enabled and was running around coronet taking out stormies. then i got pulled away from comp to do something and didnt get a chance to find a safe spot, somethng about being right in front of starport that screams "NOT SAFE". well a dark jedi came by and whacked me and my droid for over 1k damage each, i went down quick but im sure he was suprised that he had to hit it more than a few times to kill it. after i got back to comp i looked into the combat logs to see who got me and i noticed that armor worked, it was just a very low number of absorbsion.
