Thread: Structure maintenance droid does it work with condemned structures and how to add a structure?

I have two houses that have become condemned and I am not the owner (but admin) so I can't pay maintenance (since you can not enter house or get close enough to pay using structure management panel). I just come to think about a possible solution, to use a structure maintenance droid. Not sure that it will work though.
Questions:
1) How do you add a structure (house) to the droid? Do you need to be close to the structure management panel (i.e you must be close enough so you can access the panel
2) Can it pay to a structure even if it is condemned?
I think the problem might be to get close enough to add it to the droid. I think it will just ignore the condemned status (devs added this after they changed the auto payment stuff and has probably not touched anything with droids at all - nothign else as well with droids probably lol)
Hmmm interesting point, I have never dealt with a condemed structure before, I had thought that if you were on Admin you could get inside. I have a few friends houses I use, I guess I better go check the maint on them lol.
I don't know for sure, but probably if the droid already has the structure, it would "probably" pay it.
Well... I think you have to take a step back and ask "what is the point?".
If the structure is owned by an active player, there is no problem correct? Tell him to put maintenence in his darn house, and if it was your responsibility to put mainenence into it, apologize and ask him to help you out.
If the structure is owned by a player that is not an active player (either through a cross sever lot trade, or someone who has quit the game a long time back) then I don't see why some elaborate solution needs to be put in place because this really isn't a legit part of the game. Actually at fanfest they talked about implementing some stuff so that such buildings will be removed auto-magically, and items placed in them will appear in the building owner's bank vault.
The morale of the story I think is... don't count on being able to access structures owned by players who don't actively play the game. That's common sense.
